I just have to crow about this. Last week the student photographers in my program at Boston University won nine of the fifteen awards in the Boston Press Photographers Association annual college photo contest. We rock.
I've been an avid photographer since I was nine years old, and my camera has enabled me to share experiences that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. During my career in photojournalism, I covered everything from political campaigns to sports championships, and now I photograph the special stories of people's lives as they marry and celebrate family milestones.
I've been blessed with a marriage to a wonderful partner, and two nearly grown children who remind me what life is all about.
In addition to my own photography, I teach the next generation as the director of the photojournalism program at Boston University, work that brings me more satisfaction than I ever thought possible.
