Sometimes the best moments just happen. We were on the way to the beach for portraits of Melissa when a rowdy band of Russian bikers came by and became honorary members of the wedding party.

- I've been an avid photographer since I was nine years old, and my camera has enabled me to share experiences that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. During my career in photojournalism, I covered everything from political campaigns to sports championships, and now I photograph the special stories of people's lives as they marry and celebrate family milestones. I've been blessed with a marriage to a wonderful partner, and two nearly grown children who remind me what life is all about. In addition to my own photography, I teach the next generation as the director of the photojournalism program at Boston University, work that brings me more satisfaction than I ever thought possible.
